1.half可直接修飾名詞,這個(gè)名詞既可以是復(fù)數(shù),也可以是單數(shù)。例如：

　　Half the apples are bad.這些蘋果中有一半是壞的。

　　Half the apple is bad.這個(gè)蘋果一半是壞的。

　　2.half of后跟名詞時(shí),這個(gè)名詞前應(yīng)有the,this,my等限定詞修飾,這時(shí)of也可省略.例如：

　　Half (of) the people are from England.

　　這些人中有一半是英國人。

　　Half (of) the students in that school are from the countryside.

　　那個(gè)學(xué)校有一半學(xué)生來自農(nóng)村。

　　3.half of后也可接代詞,這時(shí)of不能省略.例如：

　　Half of them enjoyed the party last night.

　　他們中有一半人喜歡昨晚的晚會(huì)。

　　Only half of them came last Sunday.

　　上星期天他們中只有一半人來了。
